Check out the recent happenings!
I want to start out with a bit of blog news this week.Β I’m so excited to announce that I’ve been named an Avon Addict! The Avon Addict program is one in which the publisher Avon will send me six boxes of books throughout the year full of books they’d like me to check out and promote. My understanding is that a review isn’t required, but don’t be surprised if you start seeing more books from Avon popping up on my blog. Though let’s be real, I already read a ton of Avon romances, so it really might not change that much!
In light of this and a really interesting and impressive article series that Racked recently published about free stuff given to reporters in beauty and fashion journalism, I’ve decided to put together my own ethics policy for my blog. Basically I just want to make sure that any of my relationships with publishers or booksellers are as transparent as possible. You can view it here, along with a list of my affiliations, like NetGalley and Avon Addicts.
If you have any questions about my ethics policy or affiliations, feel free to leave a comment below or email me. It’s really important to me to maintain transparency so that you can put your complete trust in any reviews I give you, so don’t hesitate to reach out with any concerns.

Ok, back to our regularly scheduled programming! The book news I’m most excited for by far is the title reveal for Sarah J. Maas’ upcoming ACOTAR novella: A Court of Frost and Starlight! Maas also shared a lot more details in her Instagram post below about the plot of the book. I wasn’t thrilled with how the trilogy ended and I’m still not convinced this new series or novella is necessary, but I love this world so much that I really don’t even care and I can’t wait to read this book!
#####
Another upcoming book for Rick Riordan Presents has been announced! Carlos Hernandez will be writing a book titled Sal and Gabi Break the Universe, due out in spring 2019. See more details in the tweet below.
#####
We have a cover for Becky Albertalli’s new book! It’s a direct sequel to Simon Vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, which is a pretty cute book that’s due to come to the big screen in March. Leah on the Offbeat will hit shelves on April 24, 2018.
#####
I also have preorder information for Heart on Fire by Amanda Bouchet! This book is one of my most anticipated books this winter (keep an eye out for the full list tomorrow!) and I’ve been waiting for it ever since I binged the first two books last January. Follow the link below to share your order info and get a special edition poster.

If you still haven’t ordered a copy of The Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo yet, Bardugo is going to be doing meet and greets in Los Angeles and San Diego in early December where you can get an exclusive limited edition print. For those who don’t leave nearby, you can order signed and personalized copies of the book from the bookstores and get the print as well. Full details are here. The poster is really pretty and kind of making me wish I’d waited to order my book…
