Even though I basically didn’t read during the week of Thanksgiving, I somehow still managed to read 15 books this month. I love the idea of doing individual wrap up posts for each readathon I’m participating in this month, but that would result in three separate posts plus a fourth one for non-readathon books I’ve read, which just seems a little crazy and prevents me from posting about other stuff. So today I’m going to share the books I read that aren’t a part of any readathons, and at the end of the month I’ll share my monthly stats and wrap ups for the ContemporaryAThon, Tome Topple, and Nonfiction November.
I read a total of 14 books in October, but I somehow feel like I didn’t have a great reading month. While I read a few good books this month, I think I had a lot of disappointing reads and I wound up DNFing three books. Regardless, there’s lot’s to wrap up this month, so let’s get to it.

Despite not being on vacation in August, I still had a pretty good reading month. I finished 12 books! I also DNFed two books. Interestingly, DNFing always seems to happen in streaks for me, as I DNFed a bunch of books in a row back in March, too. But I still read some good books that made up for it.
