So my plan was to casually follow along with the 2018 Book Riot Read Harder Challenge and use it as an excuse to research different books I might not have found otherwise, but after reviewing the tasks for this year and putting together the list below, I’m kind of thinking I might push myself to go for it again! 18 Books to Read in 2018

I debated whether to put this list together because 18 books is a lot! And I’m concerned that it will wind up just being stressful for me to give myself a list like this. But one of my main goals in 2018 is to read more diversely across authors and genres, and putting this list together is a good way to remind myself to prioritize some of these books. Plus a few are ones I’ve been meaning to read for ages but just never get around to, so I really do need to read those in 2018!  Continue reading

Favorite Books of 2017, Part 1

Should I try and limit myself to 10 of my favorite books from 2017 to really condense my list and give you a handy go-to of my favorite books? Probably. But I’m at 15 books right now and I refuse to trim this list down any further, so 15 it is!

It also might be nice of me to list them in some sort of countdown, but that’s just not happening. So below are seven of my favorite books that I read in 2017 in the order in which I read them throughout the year, and stay tuned tomorrow for the second half of this list!

Traveling with Books

I’m sure I’m not alone in wanting a magical bag like Hermione’s where I can store a ton of books without them being too heavy or taking up too much space. Alas, that’s not possible, and since I inevitably wind up bringing home more than I initially packed when I travel (especially at Christmas), I try to restrict how many books I take with me.  Continue reading
